I wish to acknowledge that I am an uninvited guest on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Syilx Nation.

I am a Princetonite, feeling blessed to live, work, and play on the land of the Similkameen peoples and recognize the Vermillion Forks Metis nation. I identify as a mother, sister, daughter, partner, friend, healer, learner and unlearner. I am a fourth generation Canadian with ancestral connections in Europe primarily England, Ireland, France and Spain.

Jamie brings all of her training and modalities into her therapeutic interventions offering a holistic wrap around counseling experience.

Jamie was inspired to support people experiencing trauma, grief, loss, and mental health challenges after losing her mom to cancer when she was 18. Jamie felt the effects of this loss, and witnessed members of her family suffer the trauma associated with a sudden loss. This was the motivating factor for Jamie’s traditional and complementary educational endeavors in the field of therapy, healing and wellness.

Jamie works from the theory of supporting and assessing all aspects of the person in order to heal and move forward on the journey of wellness supporting clients within their healing of mind, body and spirit.

Jamie’s work history includes private practice, child and youth mental health, adult mental health, and medical social work. Jamie has a special interest in working within and supporting Indigenous communities. Jamie is currently supporting a pilot project in partnership with Lower Similkameen Community Services Society (LSCSS) partnering local Indigenous elders, healers and mentors and mental health professionals to support Indigenous families in cultural support and connecting them to their medicine while engaging in therapeutic intervention.
